Some information about me...
The Professional Stuff..
In 2016 I completed the Cambridge CELTA, an internationally recognised English language teaching qualification. You can trust that I am experienced and appropriately qualified if you decide to choose me as your tutor!
In 2013 I graduated from De Montfort University and obtained a first class bachelor of arts degree in English literature and creative writing. Not only do I love the English language, but I have a great appreciation for British and American literature and enjoy writing as a hobby, which is why I chose this subject at university. I can promise that you will have a tutor who is extremely dedicated and passionate about English!
I have been teaching English to international students since 2016 at a school in Oxford. I have experience teaching general English classes, business classes and exam preparation classes. It has been wonderful seeing students arrive in Oxford with little experience of the English language and leaving a few months later with improved English skills and more confidence: this is the aim for all of my students!
In 2017 I had the opportunity to teach English at Komazawa University in Tokyo, Japan, for two semesters. It was incredible! Most of my students were young Japanese adults who were studying and preparing for their university degrees; English was a very important part of their studies! Students were encouraged to speak as much English as possible (no speaking Japanese in class!) and focused on improving their functional speaking and listening skills.
